Maundy Thursday.

Maundy – from mandatum, meaning “mandate” or “command”.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.“

From John’s Gospel, the 13th chapter, verse 31.

Every Maundy Thursday, we come back to these words and back to the Table to remember and commemorate the outpouring of Christ’s love for us in His very body and blood. At that Table there is always enough for all in need.

This Maundy Thursday, we want to try something a little different.

We want to exemplify this kind of love. We want to live out that command. And so we’d ask that if you feel so compelled by God’s Spirit, that you would bring a gift of love (in the form of a food donation) to the Table on Thursday, April 6, as we strive to live out this calling of Christian love in our community.

You don’t need to bring anything.

This isn’t about earning God’s grace. It’s already yours each and every time you come to the Table. This is simply a way for us to respond to the grace and love we’ve already received.

All food donations will be distributed through our weekly food pantry to families in need.
